Duchesnay USA’s independent medical education grants in prenatal care and post-menopausal care

Welcome to the Duchesnay USA online grant application process. Duchesnay USA is a specialty pharmaceutical company with a long-standing commitment to women’s health. Until recently, the company focused on filling the void in terms of scientific research and education and on developing pharmacological solutions that are safe and effective for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Today, Duchesnay has broadened its portfolio of products to offer safe and effective therapeutic options that meet the health and quality of life needs of women and their family members at different stages of their lives.

Duchesnay USA is committed to supporting the advancement of medicine by providing independent medical educational grants to qualified organizations. Thank you for considering Duchesnay USA as a source of support for your educational initiatives.

Application Criteria

Duchesnay USA currently accepts applications for grants to fund educational activities in the following fields:

  • Prenatal care
  • Post-menopausal care

Eligibility criteria

Grant applicants must demonstrate their ability to fulfil a specific educational need in an effective meeting format that will promote healthcare education, excellence in patient care and improved patient outcomes.

Duchesnay USA will only consider grant applications for programs or events occurring within the twelve (12) months following the grant application date and not for programs or events that have already taken place.

Grant requests should be for programs based in the United States.

Eligible organizations

The following organizations are eligible for educational grants:

  • Hospitals
  • Medical associations
  • Medical schools
  • Non-profit organizations

Funding is intended to educate broad audiences and cannot be used toward the education of a single individual. The applicant organization will have full control over the selection of faculty, content, educational methodology, materials, venue, etc., on the condition that it is related to the field of prenatal care or post-menopausal care. Duchesnay USA plays no role in the development or the implementation of the activity.

Ineligible activities

Please do not submit requests for funding for exhibits or display booths, charitable contributions, promotional programs, membership fees, corporate sponsorship agreements, social events/entertainment, medical missions to foreign countries or advertisements, as these activities are not eligible for funding.

How to apply

In order to submit your application for consideration by Duchesnay USA’s MGO, please complete the application and attach a cover letter detailing your request, along with any relevant supporting documentation, such as:

  • Program agenda or brochure
  • Detailed line-item budget
  • Signed W-9 domestic US form

If your program is accredited for continuing medical education (CME/CE), please attach:

  • Needs assessment
  • Learning objectives and outcomes measurement plan for the activity
  • Copy of your Letter or Certificate of Accreditation.

Submitting your application

All grant applications must be completed and submitted via e-mail to MGO@duchesnayusa.com. Please fill in all fields as accurately and completely as possible. Incomplete information may result in processing delays. If you do not have electronic versions of the required attachments, you may send paper copies to Duchesnay USA’s MGO at the following address:

Application review process

All grant applications that meet review criteria will be reviewed, considered and evaluated by Duchesnay USA’s MGO based on its individual merit relative to other applications in accordance with all established guidelines and policies.

Should we have any additional questions regarding your application, we will contact you.

The review process generally takes about 4 weeks.

Notice of decision

Once all of your supporting documents are received, we will consider your request and inform you promptly of its decision.

If your application is approved: you will receive written confirmation of approval. Requests should not be considered approved until a written notice of acceptance is received from Duchesnay USA.

Please note that previous support does not guarantee future support and that due to the volume of requests received, Duchesnay USA is unable to grant every request for funding.

If your application is denied: applications for programs that have been previously declined by Duchesnay USA's MGO are not eligible for resubmission.

Notice to Applicants

Grants will be awarded in accordance with FDA's Guidance on Industry-Supported Scientific and Educational Activities, OIG Compliance Program Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, ACCME Standards for Commercial Support of Continuing Education, and all other applicable legal standards related to ethical corporate conduct. Grants will not be provided for the purpose of including the provision of services or the promotion, sales or prescribing of any Duchesnay USA products.

Duchesnay USA reserves the right to publish or otherwise disclose the details of any support provided by Duchesnay USA including but not limited to the name of the organization receiving funds, the amount of the grant and its purpose.
